Oh Baby!

We have a new addition to our family! My new baby cousin, Corbin Andrew. He is such a sweet little boy and just so precious. Welcome to the fam sweet baby!
My cousin Scott and his wife Angelika went in to the hospital last Wednesday night and Corbin was born Thursday morning, June 11th. I'm tellin you this baby is precious!

My friend Katie has designed a few t-shirts that are super cute...one is for "World's Greatest Aunt". Well, Corbin is not my nephew, so I can't wear that one. BUT, I could wear a "World's Greatest Cousin" shirt! So, Katie...there's my idea and my order...1 size Medium "World's Greatest Cousin" t-shirt!
We love you baby Corbin and can't wait for your first sleepover with your cousins!

City Fishing and "Ratoons"

Ok...first off, we really don't live in the city, but it's far enough way from the country, that I can call it the city! Anyway, here's city fishing for ya... well, fishing with only a bobber, no hook of course...
There's nothing better than fishing in the backyard, in your plastic blow up pool...aahhh summer!

Kennedy kept telling me, "I taught one! I taught one!"...translation "I caught one! I caught one!".

Hello my little precious! I think your swimsuit is from 2 years ago! But you know what...you wouldn't budge and insisted on the blue and white one...so here ya go! You might want to pull it up a smidge...I'm just sayin.
So, now on to the second part of today's story. I was sitting at my computer and all of a sudden I heard something on our deck...right outside...right behind me. Chad's not feeling well tonight, so I had to be the brave one and go peek out the window. Here's what I saw...

A RATOON...as Kennedy calls it because she can't say her c's yet! AAAHHH! It was getting into our trash I had just set out. It seriously was looking right at me and didn't care that I was there. It even started pawing at the door...so I locked it. Like it was going to reach up and open the handle. I was slightly freaking out!

Oh my! Mom...if you're reading this, which you better be! HA! Remember the time we were driving to the lake and we had to stop at one point because there was a cow in the middle of the road?!? Remember what I did in freak out mode? Yep, I locked the doors then too. I guess I just lose all sense of thinking and forget they can't open doors and they don't have thumbs!
Tomorrow Nana and Pop and I are taking the kids to a free movie at one of the local theaters...should be fun!
That's all for tonight.

GNO

Wednesday night was girl's night out at Leon's and we had a great time! Here's Kelsey, she is pregnant with Baby Dax and she is so cute! Baby Dax is due in a few weeks and all of us girls are so ready to meet him! Kels is going to be such a great mama. Kelsey and I have been friends since first grade in Miss Marshall's class!
We all ordered pizza and a glass of wine...yum! (Well, Kelsey and Ann didn't order wine, because they're preggers, but I think they wanted to.) The pizza was on special for $4, you just can't beat that.
Here's Katherine and Kels. I've known Katherine since high school, but we haven't hung out together in a long time. We see eachother at church quite a bit, but it was so fun to hang out with her and catch up. Can't wait to see you again!
Here are Ann and Katie. Ann is on the left and is pregnant too and so so cute! She's having a baby girl, but still undecided on her name...right now she's leaning toward Kate or Julia/Julie. We'll know soon enough...Ann's due in August!! Ann and I have been friends since Miss Marshall's class in first grade too. Katie is on the right. She and I have been friends since our freshman year in high school and we were both Gamma Phis in college! She and Tommy just celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary this week...Happy Anniversary you guys!
We just have the best group of girls and we've all known eachother for so long! We can go a month without seeing eachother and when we get together again, it's like no time has passed. I love my girls!
Ann and I were roomates our freshman year in the dorms. And, actually, Katie was our neighbor!! Go Kerr-Drummond! (our dorm) Ann was the best roomate...I don't know if she thought the same thing about me, but she was the easiest person ever to get along with and live with! Thanks Ann!
We were short a few girls tonight...Natalie, Megan and Julie...we sure missed you girls! Can't wait to see you all next time, hopefully very soon.

Summer Lovin'

Well, I was supposed to post these pics like 5 days ago...but it didn't happen! Here they are now... Our last day at Big Cedar was pretty much spent in the pool and just hanging around. We really had the best time together! Since we've been home, the kids are already talking about going back; they love it!

Carson is our little fish that never wants to get out of the water. He's going to be that kid that his lips turn blue and he's shivering, but refuses to get out of the water! We haven't seen that yet, but the summer has only begun!

And, now we have Miss Cheese Ball...

Carson just asked me how to say "Kennedy" in Chinese. I'm stumped. Anybody know? Where does he come up with his questions?
The kids love the idea of getting ice cream in a cone. But, they take several licks and then get so irritated when it drips all over them! Well, one child tends to be a bit messier than the other. I'm not going to mention any names...

Happy summer everyone!!
